Erin M. Calloway
Chief Executive Officer
Muhammad Ali once said, “Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on Earth”—a credo that aptly reflects Erin Calloway’s lifelong dedication to public service and community impact.
Erin is the founder and chief executive officer of Calloway & Co., a boutique consulting practice launched in 2022 to address the post-pandemic demand for sustainable, compliant, and mission-aligned growth in the nonprofit sector. With firsthand experience in nearly every in-house nonprofit role, Erin brings a rare, 360-degree perspective to her clients. Her journey into this work began in public health programming, where she quickly realized that securing funding—beginning with her own salary—was key to sustaining impact. That necessity sparked a lasting passion for philanthropy. Today, Erin partners with mission-driven organizations to diversify revenue streams, ensure regulatory compliance, and align fundraising efforts with long-term strategic goals. She blends legal insight, operational understanding, and fundraising expertise to promote organizational resilience and measurable social impact.
Erin holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH) from the University of South Carolina, a Master of Health Administration (MHA) from Louisiana State University–Shreveport, and a Juris Doctor (JD) from American University’s Washington College of Law, where she concentrated in Health and Philanthropic Law. She is a licensed fundraising counsel and professional solicitor in multiple states.
Her professional affiliations reflect her dedication to ethical governance and civic engagement. Erin is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), National Capital Health Care Executives (NCHE), and the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), where she serves as Inquiry Chair of the inaugural "Member of the Code of Conduct" Committee. She also contributes to the Pediatric Clinical Ethics Committee at Children’s National Hospital, the John Carroll Society (JCS), the South Carolina Public Health Association, and Together SC.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Erin enjoys mentoring emerging professionals, hosting dinner parties, and discovering new cultures through travel. A native South Carolinian, Erin divides her time between the District of Columbia and the Lowcountry, bringing a unique perspective shaped by both environments.
